Dr. Petersen's journey to dentistry is both unique and inspiring. It all started in Cambodia, where he saw the positive impact of dental care while volunteering with Operation Smile. This experience sparked a passion in him to improve smiles and change lives. Dr. Petersen pursued his academic goals diligently, obtaining a bachelor's degree in human biology from Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee’s College of Dentistry in 2009. He continues to enhance his skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care to his patients.
Dr. Petersen values a purposeful life filled with laughter and community service. When not working at Smart Dental, he enjoys making people laugh and spreading joy. His dedication to the community is evident through his church involvement, coaching soccer, and teaching important values.
An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Petersen loves exploring Washington's landscapes. His top joy is spending time with his wife, Sheri, and their four children, creating lasting memories together.
